i love the friendly environment! out of all the school districts ive been in, this one is my absolute favorite. At my highschool i never see anybody ever get bullied. usually if you bully at my school you dont have any friends and its seen as "uncool". The only thing id change is some of the teachers, they seem to have the attitude of just being there because they get paid instead of being there to help students learn. Some teachers come off to me as rude and too laid back. There are some good teachers but its really hard to switch classes.

In the Pittsburg Unified School District, our schools do not have enough funding. Even though we invest so much in our football team and cheerleaders and administration buildings that aren't truly needed, us students figure out ways to manage the clubs and school activities that matter to us. We often have to fun-raise or use take money out of our own pockets, even though most us students come from low-income families. It is hard for our teachers to get us new books because we don't have even money. And even though our teachers have been on strike to get better pay checks for their over hour work, most of them continue to work as hard as they can. I love most of my teachers because some of them truly do care and deserve a pay raise for the extra effort they put in, but you know, that's the beauty of Pittsburg High School.
My experience at Pittsburg High School has been amazing. Everyone is familiar with each other and I am happy to report I never seen any bullying going around. The football games are so much fun as almost the whole school goes and everyone is having a blast together. The teachers are all really nice and you could tell they care about their students as they become counselors to many. Another great aspect of PHS is the diversity within the students. You get to meet so many different people and learn a wide range of cultures. PHS also offers many clubs, and college readiness programs like Avid which I am apart of.
