Piscataway Township School District Reviews
Piscataway Township Schools has outstanding clubs such as Math League, SGA, FBLA, and ICCA. Piscataway has rigorous sports, extremely difficult AP classes, and wonderful facilities. Piscataway is one of the very few districts in the whole of NJ that took the initiative to conduct an AFJROTC Cadet Program where cadets would serve for their community and participate in leadership activities. Besides my involvement in AFJROTC, I have also been involved in the music department where the music programs in the high school not only contain music classes during school, but contain music clubs such as Chamber Choir, an Ocupella Group (Noteriety), and TRI-M Honor Society. Piscataway is really famous for its football games and cheerleading. The physical education teachers throughout Piscataway impact all of us to stay healthy and fit.
I’ve lived in Piscataway my whole and attended public school since kindergarten. I’m currently enrolled in 11th grade and my experience of school has been great. Although there are some times when school gets rough and we have some problems, it’s nothing big and all schools go through this. My principals have done nothing else but ensure we are in a safe community, esepecially my current principal, Mr. Lester. He has tried his best to relate to the students and atten to their needs and is the absolute best!
My experience in the Piscataway Township School District is great. The teachers are always ready to help you when you need them, they are constantly looking out for you, and they are extremely friendly with students in the school. The academics are good because you can tell that you are learning good information which is how a high school should be. What I do wish my school improved on are clubs and sports. My school is not exactly too involved with clubs and sports and I feel that if they improved on that, students would have a better time being in school. Although we have, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and gymnastics, they aren't exactly great. In-school lunches are sold but students can choose to bring their own lunch, which is cool. The classes are great and everyone treats each other like family. If it weren't for that, the school wouldn't be what it is today. Lake Nelson Adventist Academy will always have a place in my heart when I leave for college next year.
