There are great teachers, but sometimes it feels like the school is more focused on sports rather than academics.
Overall, my experience was good. I really liked the science, math, and fine arts department. Those teachers were very educated in their subject and had a lot to teach.
The teachers at Pipestone Area Schools are out of this world and I do not think I could get the same education anywhere else. They do a great job to prepare their students for college. A few would stay after school with me until 7:00PM if I needed it. The facilities are top of the notch new. We have college level chem, physics, and biology labs, as well as a new kitchen and sewing room for foods and sewing classes. The school is beautiful and very tech orientated. They are a google school and every student receives a Chromebook. It offers a ton of student activities such as STARS (anti drug and alcohol club), peer-helper, student council, senior and junior class committee, and National Honors Society. The sports are very competitive. The school offers College in the Schools classes that upperclassmen can receive college credit for, as well as PSEO’s to take online college classes. Pipestone is a great school and I personally think it's perfect.
