Pine Bush Central School District Reviews
Overall Great Experience. There are many great things offered especially in the high school, one of the best things offered are the summer programs. The Pine Bush Senior High School offers five enrichment programs over the summer and each one grants different high school credits. Students who attend are also able to earn college credits offered by accredited colleges in New York. They range in price but yield life lessons that a price a can not be placed on. More information can be found by searching "Pine Bush SHS Summer Enrichment Academies". Not only are there opportunities for students to take advantage of but as a student I can say that the teachers in the district truly care for the good of the students. I've had good experiences with the teachers, all they want to do is help students to the best of their ability. I've been given helpful tips when asking for advice on decisions such as a class to take or even useful tips for my future. Great choice for any child's education.
Pine Bush's student body is diverse but the faculty does not reflect that. When I attended in 2015, and graduated, there were no minority teachers despite an almost 50/50 split among students. The school also suffered from a lawsuit where the administration failed to protect Jewish students from discrimination, which the school settled on since they had in fact, not acted properly. Overall, the school has made attempts at reform, but I think it will be a long time before the town and school district of Pine Bush is as accepting as it should be for all students.
I have had a very positive high school experience. We have a lot of activities available toys. I just feel like the school should care more about their students, they took a lot away from the seniors this year and the parking situation is atrocious.
