I transferred to Pewaukee High my sophomore year of high school. I was very nervous to be going to school with a bunch of kids I didn't know. Pewaukee is very small, so all of the kids had been going to the same school since Kindergarten so at first it was very hard to find my own group. It took maybe a week before I truly felt welcome. The teachers were very nice and understanding, and I spent a lot of time with them whenever I needed to get my grades up. The students were very welcoming as well. Inviting me to sit with them at lunch and volunteering to be my partner during class activities. If you want to start fresh in a new town, I would definitely recommend the Pewaukee school system for your children. They will definitely feel welcome and at home in no time!
Review Pewaukee School District
It was a great school to go to. Even if the people around you weren't that pleasant to be friends with, the staff were all amazing and I would definitely reccomend anyone to go to this school, reguardless of social status or ethnicity. Everyone is accepting of new students at this school, teacher or student. Besides that, Pewaukee school district tries to be a leader, meaning you will get to experience new things all the time. Grading systems are improving, new yearly activities are being added in all the time, the school is never the same.
From kindergarten on, I have grown up with the same class of 200 people. Graduating from elementary school, to middle school, then eventually to high school, Pewaukee has been an exceptionally comfortable, respectable town to grow up in. Our class is incredibly close, which makes the learning and extra curricular activities worth while. The staff, students, and community made high school a memory I will always love to look back on.
