Petersburg City Public Schools Reviews
I am reviewing my school district since the actual school I go to is not listed by Niche as an option in this survey (Appomattox Regional Governor's School). I am sad to say my experience in my home district's schools were unpleasant, to say the least. I endured years of torment from students until I went into ARGS for my freshman year of high school. The Petersburg City School system is how you expect most schools in an urban environment plagued by poverty to be, unpleasant students unwilling to learn or pay attention, being more concerned about who has the best shoes or whose dating who. However, most of the teachers seem to be trying their best to provide for their students, while others just pass them along so they can get their paycheque and go home. I'm not going to lie and sugarcoat the experience.
Horrible! No teachers, food is terrible and the environment is not safe. Teachers and principals never take notice to anything and there is always a problem with everything
The world is constantly changing. I would like for the students to have more opportunities for career exploration. Also, there is a great need for the use of technology. Students need to be accessible technology to compete in a global society.
