It's honestly a good school with good teachers, facilities and it has a lot to offer to the Hispanic/Latino community. The teachers and administration is always trying to make the students comfortable and offering things such as the Communications Academy and the Health and Science Academy to better prepare students into potential interested fields they want to enter before college since our school knows that minorities such as Hispanics statistically drop out of college and get stuck with student loans that just crow so giving students an actual experience in the fields of either communications and health sciences is the best. There's a lot of motivation in the school. The core value is "P.R.I.D.E" and the Panthers of Perth Amboy stand by them. We also have a learning center for students and other facilities such as School Base for students that need more support than that of just the counselors. As for sports, arts and any kind of self expression. You'll most likely find it at PHAS.

I have spent the last 3 years at Perth Amboy High School as I am now in my senior year, I can reflect on the school's district. Was our school perfect? No. No school is but did they teach and inspire me? Yes, they did. I had the opportunity to join the Communications Academy and we took courses that would guide and inform us about the careers in that field. My time in the Academy were some of my best memories and I even enjoyed the learning. It was exhilarating, educational, and informative without being boring. Our school won the National School of Character Award as well. My school has improved over these years and to see where they are now versus back then is a big difference. I am proud of the school that I went to and for anyone who does end up going, come in with an open mind because every single person just wants the best for their students.
The Perth Amboy Public School District is honestly quite one sided. There’s no representative for the student body and the voices of the students are tuned out and never listened to. But the schools themselves are well structured and have great extracurriculars, especially the ones pertaining to the music department.
