As an refugee who enrolled to Perry Township in the second grade, I’ve met some of the most amazing teachers! This district is not only very diverse, but the school also provides many programs for all students. A lot of higher levels courses are offered, allowing students to challenge themselves and preparing its students for college. Overall, this school is one of the best!
I think the district is very supportive of the students, parents, and community. The individual schools work both independently and collaboratively with everyone to meet the needs of the learners.
Southport high school to me was like a roller coaster. In the beginning of the school year it was exciting and teachers were really welcoming. I ended up making new friends and became class president of my year. throughout the year there were a few challenges though and it’s normal for that to occur. I never failed to have teachers and students encourage me to move forward and never backwards. It’s an amazing school for someone that looks to be different and have an impact on our future
