Great place to attend school and feel a part of something!
Band program along with club activities are really awesome and I've enjoyed attending this school district. Sports programs as well as academic programs are some of the best in the state and will be for sometime I'm sure. Great community involvement and not too worried about safety as students, along with staff, and parents feel fairly safe in and around the community as a whole. District prides itself in trying to be top notch and one of the best in preparing students not only for college, but also for career and life. We've lived in the Peoria community for over 17 years and have only great things to say about it. Amazing places to shop, eat, and visit with friends/family and great place to watch spring training baseball games. I would not want to live no other place and raise a family in no other community than Peoria, Arizona.

I fondly remembered my time with the Peoria School District, but I am not blinded from the flaws too. They had a good program that accelerated my math development and offered plenty of AP programs to achieve academic goals. However, the district was commonly low on resources. By middle school, the tech room had a variety of underutilized material. The facilities tended to be filthy by the middle of the day. When it came to the lunch room, the food was a mixed bag of tolerable meals to low grade meat. By now I hope that their menu has improved and they have more resources to cleanliness. The teachers from my time were always helpful and encouraging, so I hope they still have supportive staff.
I love the Peoria Unified School District! Everyone in the district is always there for you no matter what. Especially the parents. Everyone is there to help you accomplish your goals in any way possible. Although I would appreciate not having to eat microwave lunches that are who knows how many years old. I would also find it very helpful if the funds for clubs were distributed equally. Whether it's sports or arts, they're all important to us! They give the students individuality, leadership skills, creativity, social interaction, responsibility, they even encourage self confidence and good sportsmanship and more. All of these attributes are vital to the world today and are extremely necessary for the growth of our future.
