My 3 children all graduated from Pelham High, and 2 went through from first grade. My daughter graduated and went on to college, earning a Bachelors and going for her Masters. My two boys, blue collar, but a combination of school and home, I'm sure groomed them into the two kind and hard working individuals they are today. Coach Babaian was a father figure to my youngest, who went on to join the Marines for 4 years. I cannot say enough about the man. As a single mom the support I received from the town, the school (and it's coach) made me grow to love Pelham's small town generosity and people. I love the town...have been here since 1987. My grandchildren are now attending school, and I wish them the best. Times have changed and drugs and bad people will be where ever you go, but in this community I feel safe and sound.

There is a community feel in Pelham that allows for the school leadership and parents to connect. The high school principal does a parent coffee a few times a year to open communication. The students are engaged in the community and most are looking to go to 4 year colleges beyond high school. Teachers are engaged as a whole but there sometimes lacks details on students achievements of lack thereof. There are plenty of extracurricular activities for students to immerse themselves in as well as competitive sports teams. AP and honors classes are available but there could be more direction to certain students who meet the requirements for these level classes to have give them a more defined pathway. There are also pathways for medical, business, art that are unique to Pelham High and allow students to pave the way for their future plans within these segments.
I give my school a four out of five stars due to the schedule change during my start of junior year. My experience with my high school was well. I had great teachers and the classes were well rounded. The schedule change is great deal to get use too and I'm still trying to cooridnate with it. Our school provides a study hall, it's 45 minutes to do work, study, to see teachers for help, bathroom time. The school food is like everyone's high schools food. It's okay, I personal don't eat the lunch. So my review on it, is not accurate. After school activies/clubs are amazing. We have over 10+ clubs to do. Some are, art club, drama & drama tech, creative writting club, ect.. I am in Art club and Drama. These's clubs have great people who do it, and the teachers who are running it, are fantastic.
