I was able to graduate with my associate’s degree, as well as my high school diploma. I am very grateful for the opportunities that were offered to me, the academic advisors and teachers who helped get me where I am, and to God for helping me get through the program. My high school cared deeply about the students and tried to make them feel special in many ways by offering fun events to participate in, as well as gifting us food/gift cards to our favorite restaurants. It is evident how much time and effort goes into the students and faculty at Pearland High School.
Pearland welcomed me when I moved away from my hometown my freshman year of highschool. While it welcomed me, it also challenged me in the best way possible. It was more academically challenging than my older school which helped me grow in my intellect and helped me gain the confidence and leadership skills that i have today. Pearland High School takes care of their students. They always want the best for each child that walks through their doors and they work hard to create a comfortable environment to make each school day easier for us. It was amazing to have such a diverse yet intentional school system to finish my highschool years with.
I am an incoming senior attending Pearland High School and have been a student in the district since third grade. Throughout my nine years of experience in PISD I can definitely say that the teachers are the biggest highlight. Some of my biggest supporters in my life have been my educators. They have motivated me to do my best, whether that had been inside or outside of the classroom. I have had some difficult times in my life and always had at least one or two teachers every year that I knew I could go to for anything, from homework help, to food, for a safe space to ask questions about becoming a young adult (or cry). Pearland Independent School District has some of the most outstanding people shaping the lives of students, leading them on the path to greatness.
