In my opinion, the Pasco School District did a splendid job allocating opportunities to their diverse set of students who come from various backgrounds, incomes, and environments. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed in this school district!
During my time in the Pasco school district, I had a wonderful time learning about my education. The staff and students were quick to help and were friendly. Coming in as a high school student was intimidating, but staff were very friendly to make it a safe learning environment. Pasco High had a great small community to strives to have a connection with its students. they have a lot of academics to offer for students who want to explore different career paths. The classrooms are especially diverse, making students feel more welcome, especially those of a smaller minority. There are many clubs and sports to try out within the school district as well, even allowing us to go out of state to compete against others. The Pasco did a fantastic job setting its students towards the future. Whether the students were going straight to college, a trade, or even back to start their own business, the school district had a great curriculum that prepared students towards the future.
My experience at Pasco School District is overall exceptional. There are plenty of diverse pathways for students, and counselors are helpful to students achieving goals needed for their chosen pathway. Teachers are professional, unique individuals. I have had many enjoyable teachers throughout my school career, which is important for keeping school a safe, healthy environment. On the flip side, I would change how Pasco School District spends their tax-payer money. Overall, money is spent on new equipment, but there is a lot more that could be fixed in some schools. At my school, Chiawana, the bathrooms have poorly functioning equipment in the bathrooms, as well as trash all over. This is inconvenient and shows that not all the custodial employees are in there cleaning when they should be. I would also change how students talk to each other, because there is a lot of problems on social media that get involved in the school environment. That is why I gave my rating an average score.
