Pasco County School District is a great place to learn and a even better place to grow as an individual. Faculty and students are always trying to bring out the best in eachother in order to ensure that everyone is getting the education they need to be successful! If I could change one thing about this school system it would be the diversity of students and more community involvement. I would love to see more students being involved in our school system, in order to help everyone grow and accept others as people and spread kindness amongst our community.

The Pasco County School District is composed of multiple responsible schools that have diligent, hard working teachers. However, there are some exceptions. For instance, my experience at Weightman Middle School was far from pleasant. The school was hardly monitored, unsafe, and did little to stop the bullying and fights that frequently occurred. In contrast, however, the high school I currently attend, Land O' Lakes High School, seems to tackle these problems in a determined way.
Therefore, I guess I would have to say that there is no absolute "good" or "bad" when judging my overall experience with the Pasco County School District; my experiences have been both negative and positive. I feel that it is more a matter of where in the district the school is located.
I went to a private school from Pre-K - 9th grade. During the 9th grade, I was unchallenged. I had requested AP classes, but Genesis Prep School in New Port Richey was unable to offer the AP classes that I needed. I felt like I needed more of a challenge. The summer of 2015, I decided I wanted to go to J W Mitchell High School. They offered all the AP classes that I needed. Since I have been going to J W Mitchell High School, I have had great teachers! I have learned so much and have more of a challenge. I feel I am better prepared for college. I will graduate this year, class of 2018, with 13 AP classes! So far, I have scored all 5's and 4's on my AP exams! I'm so glad that I made the decision to move over to the Pasco County School system! Thank you for preparing me for college!
