I go to Powell Wyoming High School. This public school allows you to participate in many activities such as a variety of sports (girl's and boy's swimming, football, golf, tennis, volleyball, basketball, indoor and outdoor track and field, and soccer) and programs (speech and debate, skills USA, letter club, robotics, student council, art guild, band, choir, drama, erocne, FFA, and publications). The student council makes sure everyone is involved in cheering for games, state tests, fun activities, and fundraisers. Teachers in this school are supportive in your decisions, are mindful about your mental health, and care about students' learning environments. Overall, this school is a great place for students to learn and go to.
I received a very good education from Powell schools throughout my time there. The teachers and the curriculum really set me up to succeed in the later half of high school and now starting into my college degree. It helps that there is a community college right down the street that allows high school kids to take dual enrollment courses there to get some of the general classes out of the way before they even enter college. And the best part is that you don't have to pay for those classes either! The school takes care of the costs. I had a few minor issues with some teachers and how some programs were run, but a very good education which is consistent throughout most Wyoming schools. Very clean, well-funded, and gives students ample opportunities to succeed in life.
The school system was good. They had a focus on education and trying to make school effective. The school struggles with promoting adversity and shows indifference towards showing any support to lgbtq clubs. The school also failed to provide equal funding and support to all competitive teams; they focused more money on the teams with faculty children.
