Mediocre school. Most teachers will give you some pain, but there are a few good ones. The classes are only easy if you study and keep up with work. Overall okay. It could be better in terms of fixing infrastructure and using funds more responsibly in order to better the school, but I have yet to see change with that.
The school has the necessary tools that one needs to succeed. The teachers are very supportive and do help students with anything that they need. The staff is wonderful. One thing that sets this school behind the others is the funding that they receive. The high school was not able to fund for many extracurriculars, as well as, sports. One thing I wish that this school was able to do was provide an enriching experience, give me an opportunity to try many other sports and clubs.
I am an alumni of the Palisades Park School district. I am also currently a parent of 2 children that attend the Jr. Sr. High School. From the time that I attended school and now that my children have been attemding the same school, it is incredible to see how far the school district has decreased in every aspect overall. From academics to communication, technology, sports, diversity, culture, interaction and bonding with the students, tutoring, special needs, etc. teaching used to be about caring amd education first amd foremost, now it has become all about contracts and paychecks. If you’re out of contract, you’re out that door and forget about teaching because hey.....I’m not getting my raise!!!!! Therefore, you certainly do not deserve my attention, my knowledge or an education! Teacher’s honestly used to have a passion for molding young minds.
