Paint Creek Independent School District Reviews
Having gone to Paint Creek ISD since I was in the first grade, I think that I can give a pretty honest review of the school. If I wasn't going to be the valedictorian, I would have transferred somewhere else my senior year. The academics at this school are sub-par, the food has always been terrible, we don't have central heating and cooling so our classrooms are always too hot or too cold, there are NO clubs for students to join, the sports programs are sub-par, the administration could be better. My advice is that if you want your child to have better opportunities, send them to one of the bigger schools in the area, Haskell High School in Haskell or Stamford High School in Stamford.
I have attended Paint Creek ISD for four consecutive years. Because Paint Creek is such a small school, the ratio between students and teachers has always allowed the teachers to provide one-on-one support which helps the students learn. I believe that Paint Creek is a safe environment where everybody feels comfortable enough being themselves with one another while obtaining the education that they need to graduate. No child is left behind here, the staff and administration offer help to everyone on campus. If I could change one thing about Paint Creek ISD, it would be to have more clubs and activities for the students to participate in. Studies have shown that students who participate in extracurricular activities are more likely to do better in their academics. I feel like this would help bring our school to the brightest potential I know it's capable of.
I have attended Paint Creek since the 6th grade, and it was the best decision I ever made. I've made tons of friends, found extracurricular's I love, and have been prepared for college with a majority of my freshman year out of the way.
