Owen D Young is like a private school it is k-12 with about only 300 students they have scholarships for everyone that graduates . This is called the Van Horne scholarship . They also help students that have high grades get the Clark scholarship this is a merit based scholarship . It is a great starting point for any serious students .

I liked everything from how well the teachers taught to how well the students interacted with each other.
This school is depressing. The lights are never on, the ceiling leaks, it smells like sewage as you walk through the halls, the heating and cooling systems are never regulated, and the cafeteria screams health code violation. Don't send your kids here. First year teachers are instructing regents courses and the scores reflect their poor teaching skills. Most students compare it to "a prison". The paint is peeling in every room, the doorways are uneven and it looks like an earthquake hit the whole top floor. Also, students in 8th grade were asked to clean mouse feces out of the home ec room drawers in order for it to be "safe" to cook in. Absolutely disgusting.
