Orient-Macksburg Community School District Reviews

3 reviews
I absolutely loved going to school here. The environment was fantastic! The Orient-Macksburg Community School District is the second smallest school in the state of Iowa, so an individual can really get to know the rest of the student population. All the teachers are friendly and ready to help. There is only one bad thing that came along with this school; it was the lunches. Since the school was small, it cannot afford the greatest lunches, but it was very good on most days. There was just the occasional lunch that was just not quite up to par. Overall, this school is one of the greatest that I have ever experienced. Definitely glad that I had the opportunity to enroll here.

My name is Charles Nichols and I attended Orient-Macksburg Community Schools throughout my career. I feel that my school is a sensational environment for kids to learn and grow into adults. The education is fabulous, and the environment is one of a kind. The teachers can connect with the kids on a personal basis due to the fact that their are only one hundred kids in our whole school. Although our school is small, our heart is prominent. If I could pick to go back in time and choose another school, I still wouldn't. My experience at Orient-Macksburg has been phenomenal and has given me many opportunities both educational and non educational. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to be involved in FFA, athletics, TAG, and National Honors Society. The biggest thing I like about my school is that they relied on me to be a leader. My school is one that many few are lucky to attend but many miss out on.
The entire Orient Macksburg experience as a student was amazing. All the teachers are very helpful in anything they do. Whether you’re a freshman they will help you gain experience of high school and help you through the harder work if you need it or you’re a senior they will help you prepare for college. The school as a whole just cares about the community, if a student needs help the staff will do anything in its power to help them. At Orient Macksburg the classes are small enough that the teachers can interact with a student one on one so it helps the students learn more and understand the curriculum better.
