Olentangy has changed my life. The teachers in all of the schools are very nice and are experienced. This school probably has the nicest administration. Every student is probably scared to talk to the principal but, when I had to talk to him he was so friendly. Olentangy does a great job for preparing you for the future. They have a diverse school!
Review Olentangy Local School District
I have attended Olentangy Local Schools since the 1st grade. I grew up in Lewis Center, Oh going to Glen Oak Elementary when it opened up and just graduated a few months ago. My senior year I was one of the schools student section leaders and our student section was always making appearances on television and Top Student Section twitter accounts, etc. In class my teachers would always offer extra help when I needed it, stay after school if I asked or make time another time for me to come into class early to get help if need be. My guidance counselor also would be pushing me to challenge myself by convincing me to sign up for classes where I would need to put in extra work for. My sophomore year I technically was done with math, I had all the credits I needed to graduate yet she convinced me to take classes like AP Statistics. I am very grateful my mom raised me in this school district such as Olentangy.
There is definitely the good things and the bad things about Olentangy. I'll start with the good things about it. The Olentangy local school district has excellent academics. There are so many ways you can challenge yourself with AP and BC classes. Also, there are a few opportunities where you get to go in depth with your future career with mentor ship programs and DACC. Now for the bad things at Olentangy. For starters there are so many people in this district and because there are so many people, it is hard to try to stand out and there is lack of assistance when you need it the most especially with the counselors. One thing that I would honestly change about the Olentangy school district is to have teachers and advisers pay attention to you more. I know that is very hard to do because there are so many students but that is one thing that I would change.
