I enjoyed that my teachers push me to a very high potential it helped me grow to the person I am today. I was always placed in the gifted classes from the start but slowly moved back to the average classes. My teachers saw a passion in me for math and science and helped me continue to become ahead and enjoy all of those classes they had to offer. However in olentangy you have to reach these goals that are unneeded that they make you believe is necessary. This can include AP, honors classes, college credit. How these are definitely good, students tend to fill up their schedule with APs and overbook themselves. This happens quite a bit because teachers and staff always try to push more on the students. It’s good to an extent. Students must learn how to control there schedule and take classes that really interest them! It helps them learn how to become a young adult!

I loved my high school experience! I had a fairly normal high school career, but if I could change some things about the Olentangy school district, it would be to check in with your students. They preached about mental health, but never really took into consideration the people that look happy all the time. Everyone could use a check in sometimes, especially when you don't know what home life is like.
Overall, the Olentangy District is a well-rounded district. Most teachers are excellent, the environment is very good and fun! However, I had a bad experience with a teacher and the school did not handle it appropriately. Other than that, I have no bad things to say.
