Old Bridge Township is a great town. The schools are great, and the high school does a fantastic job representing all types of careers and exposing students to many different career paths. For example, I took a Business Pre-Law class in my sophomore year and now I am confident in the fact that I would like to go into law as a career. The only con I have is that they are constantly running out of money. For example, every year the school district has to let go of beloved teachers because there is not enough money to keep them or to tenure them. Overall, Old Bridge is a great town, that embraces diversity on all levels.
Despite being a large high school with a large graduating class, our high school has the feel of a smaller size school. The teachers and coaches at Old Bridge are excellent and there are so many activities for students to get involved. The school offers so many events for seniors who are graduating. Our school's athletics are very good and several of our teams have won championships in our school conferences. I have had a great experience at Old Bridge High School.
I like Old Bridge High School because of the diversity it has to offer. Currently, our school represents a range of cultures in the form of honor societies and clubs and frequently honors their celebrations. For example, our school had a celebration for Chinese New Year and showcased an authentic three course meal and featured cultural dances. Additionally, I like our school because of the range of clubs it has to offer. Some of the clubs I take part in is FBLA and Red Cross. I am the treasurer for both clubs for two years and I was able to understand what goes behind the scenes in each club and was able to gain for leadership skills that I will be able to use in the future.
