My child has attended the Olathe Schools since she started 4th grade at Regency Place Elementary, California Trail and Olathe North. The teachers, staff, custodians have all been expectational, we loved from Arizona for a better school district and we were not disappointed.
Thank you for a great education!

Cut your losses classified staff. Transfer within to the district offices or work in a school where your immediate relative is employed in an administrative position. Or, better yet, leave a management position and transfer to a 'clerk' position keeping the same salary even though you work less contractual hours and it was your choice to transfer. Or, if you are fortunate enough to work at the district level, you too, can be reclassified as a 'specialist' and in rare cases, receive a 14k or even 25k raise in one year. You can make more than a teacher with experience and graduate hours. Check out kansasopen.gov. It is mind boggling.
This school district is very organized, sufficient, and involved. The involved district picks and chooses what they want to be involved in. I had a friend pass away in the summer and we had the idea to create a bench for him and the school turned it down. Also, they do not do anything about bullying although they say that they do. I have had multiple friends experience within the school hours and they told them to "ignore it and walk another route to class". Besides those specific instances, the school district is organized in holding events, dealing with weather conditions, and academic goals/courses.
