Overall, I’d say my experience was just fine. Day-to-day, I felt safe on campus/within the building, felt that I had decent opportunities for faster/slower paced courses, and had good faculty and staff. That said, the school wasn’t perfect. Being in a small, rural community, there were definitely established families and those families had certain influence or privileges that other students would not ever have (be that on teams, with instructors, or with administrators). Additionally, I think it was a struggle to fully support alternative cultures because of the conservative and rural setting—the VAST majority of the school population was Caucasian or from a Caucasian household.

Great district with a wonderful athletic personnel. Could use some more academic options but the staff do their best to work for the students! Small district allows for a lot of parent involvement and safety measures. Beautiful campus with many new amenities. The school board offers a variety of opportunities for the school to earn funds to give back to the students.
I have been attending Northwest High School since the start of my sophomore year, and each year I have enjoyed it more and more. The basics like air conditioning, heating, and well sized classrooms are provided, but even more importantly, there are a plethora of unique classes offered like music and performance, dance and aerobics, and even a ceramics course. The school excels through its teachers, who are truly committed to providing their students with the best educations possible. I am extremely grateful for this commitment to education, but even more grateful for the help and advice I've received from the staff outside of the classroom.
