Northwest Public Schools Reviews
The Northwest Public School system was a great place to be educated. I have been in this system since kindergarten and I have only experienced passionate and understanding teachers. I have definitely built relationships with my teachers and coaches that I will remember for the rest of my life. The one thing I would like to see upgraded is the security at the high school. I believe student safety should be the administration's main concern but it doesn't seem to be that way. The doors are unlocked and it seems that almost anyone can enter the building, we have never had a scary experience but I feel better precautionary measures should be taken. Overall Northwest is a great school to send your child to, education is taken very seriously and teachers will help to push you in the right directions.
Northwest High school did not benefit me socially or in school at all. I was unable to take many classes for college credit and the academics were underwhelming. Our show choir director was caught smuggling money from our accounts and he has still not been prosecuted due to a car accident that happened in the beginning of October 2018. Apparently he has been in a health state for the past 7 months that he hasn't been able to be questioned. It wasn't until April 2019 that he "resigned" due to health reasons.
I love NW so far! I have very good grades now because my teachers are helping me get them and offering to help me. Also having the administrators also keep on top of your grades. Everyone is so friendly here and freshmen are all friends with the upper class men and video versa. This school also help a you prepare for what you want to maybe do in college so you can take classes to help you get ready for college and what path you want to take.
