North Ridgeville offers many classes and clubs to make students feel pushed and included. They also have many athletics, so there is something for everyone. The offer good APs and honors classes and have a very wide variety of electives. The problem with North Ridgeville High School is that the building is very poor, along with the layout. Many parts of the building are falling apart and dirty. The bathrooms are gross and the hand dryers never work. The school is also a very overall dark place. North Ridgeville offers good classes, clubs, and sports, but the building is terrible.
As a student, our teachers are unresponsive to our concerns. The diversity in our school is next to none, and our arts department could use extreme work. My biggest issue is with our teachers, who are not understanding of our personal issues outside of school that could be affecting our grades and the way we act in our classes. Our guidance counselors haven't been helpful in this either, and the only ones the students have to rely on are other students. This is not the message we should sending to students.
The school is great and encourages its students to succeed the best they can. There is a great support system with the teachers and other peers. They have an amazing humanities department. The school also offers a lot of AP courses which are all taught extremely well. One thing I would like to see change is the funding and support within the arts. I would also like to see more clubs offered at the school.
