When I first moved into the North Kansas City School District, I had no idea what to expect. I was scared and shy because my mother and I, were so used to being in lower economic districts. My mother wanted better for me and she believed it was essential in order to receive the higher education I wanted. Looking back as a senior, I can honestly say that I wouldn't trade my experience in my district for anywhere else. The NKC district emphasized diversity, respect, and an essential push in order to succeed. Because of these core essentials, I am now in an Advanced Academic Program called International Baccalaureate. I have met people from all over the world and it has opened my mind to different views and perspectives without covering up my own. The North Kansas City School District has truly molded me into the ambitious upcoming college freshman I am today.

They are very involved with their students and focus on how each ones perception differs from one another. They have great sociology, physiology, human anatomy and many other great classes that give students a brief of how college is going to be for them. I feel genuinely prepared because of my instructors. I was a new student my senior year and still managed to become as involved as any fellow classmate.
I like how their a lot of programs and clubs/groups that you can do so your high school year won't be boring. And the sports atmosphere is just crazy good especially with rival games against each other. The stands, gyms, etc be crowded and just amazing like it's a professional game. But the school district can do better on the protection of students, meaning more security and monitoring more often and the amount of chances for students to do stuff that they not suppose to.
