North Hills School District Reviews
The North Hills School District is a very academically-driven school district with lots of opportunities and facilities for students of all ages and interests. As senior vice president, I have had the chance to explore the different pros of the school district as I've attended several meetings with the staff and superintendent. I'd like to see change in our school's safety, however. I think we can implement more effective safety drills that can be practiced in the high school, middle school, and all the elementary schools.
While I enjoyed my time as an Indian, I felt NH was lacking in many areas other schools were not. There was no factor at NH that made me think it was challenging or even up to par with other schools in the area. The classes were overall easy with exception to some classes with teachers who should not be teaching. The counselors were never available, the administration cared for nothing, and the students hated the school. Truly, this made for a bad experience. The schools don’t rank leading to little acceptance into top-tier universities. They give nothing to those who excel in classes. They have no sort of reward or even some sort of incentive to do well. They make learning a pain and the stricter rules that arise each year make the school more like a prison than a school.
North Hills is a good school. Most of the teachers are awesome and caring, great academics, and great clubs. The only thing I hate is how obsessed the district is with our marching band. It's more talked about than our football team! It can be a little annoying sometimes. Also, I liked THON better in the middle of the night so my whole Saturday wasn't wasted.
