North Central Local School District Reviews

3 reviews
North Central Local School District is a small area with less than 200 students in the high school. There is a handful of teachers that have a passion for what they teach and teaching itself, but most don't have that drive to see students succeed. Clubs are almost non-existent. There are a few sports available, and this year football has been introduced. The diversity is terrible. Both physical and mental diversity are lacking. Most students consider any democratic or 'liberal' opinions highly offensive. Since very few alumni move onto college the faculty don't try very hard to prepare students for college. Safety is not an issue, nothing happens in our rural area. Overall not much opportunity to experience things outside of cornfields.

North Central has gave me a great high school experience, but there are definitely things that need to be fixed. The school is extremely cliquey and there is a lot of gossip and rumors going around daily. The technology is very outdated and there are not a lot of college prep classes available to students. On a more positive note though, staff and administration are very welcoming and helpful. The community also supports the school immensely. The school also offers students the option to join activities within the school and outside of school, in the community. There is also a great work program for students who know they do not want to attend college. Although there are negatives. I would not change my experience for anything.
Lack of life skills and academic classes and overall student motivation, I feel uprepared for college and adult life.
