North Boone High school is a very good school. I have never had a problem with one of the teachers and the way they teach is easy to understand. If you ever have questions they work their best to answer them and if you have a problem they will help you find a solution. I genuinely feel that everyone wants what's best for the students at all costs and wants them to succeed. The school itself is well kept and cleaned. Also, I feel safe at my school while attending it everyday, which is an amazing feeling because I should not be in fear while trying to get an education. The learning environment is also a big thing because the teachers and school make it easy for you to work. While in class if there are any problems or distractions they make sure to handle them responsibly. If you are unable to focus in class for any particular reason you are able to go to a quiet room to work. The community at our school is kind and respectful making coming to school enjoyable.
I have kids in both Elementary and High School through the North Boone School District. The High Schoolers have gone to the Upper Elementary and Middle School as well. I HIGHLY recommend NBCUSD as they not only have excellent hands on experience for the kids, but I've never seen a school district that goes out of their way the way they do for this kids. They too offer AP Classes and have a Running Start program allowing kids to take college classes and graduate with not only their HS Diploma but their Associates Degree. The counselors here are phenomenal and really walk the kids through what they need to not only graduate but how to apply for colleges and also assist in helping them make decisions. My two youngest children in elementary have disabilities and the school has gone above and beyond in guiding us to assist our kids and they have also helped in so many ways I am beyond grateful as a parent.
My past four years of high school have been memorable and helpful. I am an honor student, and I play sports. The best part of the North Boone School district is the teachers and faculty here. They have the ability to teach things in different ways if you are not understanding, genuinely care and will take time out of their own day to make sure you are on track with your goals and health, and everyone is connected. MY school is in a small town, and in my class there is about 138 students. I have enjoyed the bond we all have at my high school, it is a good feeling to know that a community cares about you. THe one thing I would like to see in future years at North Boone is more involvement in sports. Better equipment, such as an eligible Track is one thing I would love seeing, as right now we are unable to run on ours. Overall, I enjoyed highschool and I am so grateful for the people I have formed relationships with, from teachers, peers, and those in the community.
