I have kids in both Elementary and High School through the North Boone School District. The High Schoolers have gone to the Upper Elementary and Middle School as well. I HIGHLY recommend NBCUSD as they not only have excellent hands on experience for the kids, but I've never seen a school district that goes out of their way the way they do for this kids. They too offer AP Classes and have a Running Start program allowing kids to take college classes and graduate with not only their HS Diploma but their Associates Degree. The counselors here are phenomenal and really walk the kids through what they need to not only graduate but how to apply for colleges and also assist in helping them make decisions. My two youngest children in elementary have disabilities and the school has gone above and beyond in guiding us to assist our kids and they have also helped in so many ways I am beyond grateful as a parent.

My past four years of high school have been memorable and helpful. I am an honor student, and I play sports. The best part of the North Boone School district is the teachers and faculty here. They have the ability to teach things in different ways if you are not understanding, genuinely care and will take time out of their own day to make sure you are on track with your goals and health, and everyone is connected. MY school is in a small town, and in my class there is about 138 students. I have enjoyed the bond we all have at my high school, it is a good feeling to know that a community cares about you. THe one thing I would like to see in future years at North Boone is more involvement in sports. Better equipment, such as an eligible Track is one thing I would love seeing, as right now we are unable to run on ours. Overall, I enjoyed highschool and I am so grateful for the people I have formed relationships with, from teachers, peers, and those in the community.
I attended two elementary schools (Capron and Poplar Grove) the upper elementary school, the middle school, graduated from the high school, and am currently completing my clinical observation hours at Manchester. I enjoyed my time at each school, they are all small and close-knit, every student knows every teacher and faculty member and vice versa. The teachers and faculty are all very friendly and helpful. The teachers genuinely care about their students and work hard to build relationships with them and their parents. The district's small size makes it possible for students to create lifelong friendships with their classmates, who they ultimately end up growing up with. I myself have remained very close and continue to talk to friends I made while attending these schools. I hope one day to be able to teach at this lovely district and enroll my own children there.
