Rating 4.04 out of 5 57 reviews
Norman public schools are a very diverse and nicely kept environment. Many of their teachers are polite and have good teaching techniques. They are very advanced in their academics when it comes to public schools. Separate helping programs have been given to students of different languages and secure academic success. Just like any other district, they have their issues and problems. Some schools have more diversity than others and finances seem to go to schools with a less diverse population. Facilities have been slowly updated and financial help is given. Overall Norman Public Schools is a very good school district and very advanced when it comes to education, diversity, and accessibility.
My overall experience at Norman High is good. I have enjoyed most of my teachers because they are understanding and know what they are teaching. The school offers many opportunities to bring your grade up and help you learn better. I enjoy Norman High because they have great clubs and offer athletics. I am personally an athlete, and I play volleyball. The school is very supportive of its athletic teams. I also like the community of all the students and the friends that come along with it.
The Norman Public School District is very accepting and welcoming to all students, teachers and parents. Norman schools focus on giving the students the best possible education, using the resources available to students and teachers. In my experience, the teachers in this district are dedicated to engaging the students in and out of the classroom in order to help the student become successful in whatever way that may be. One thing I would like to see change is the appreciation the teachers receive, pay wise. I believe teachers should be paid enough money to not only support themselves/family, but also be able to support the classroom whether that be in supplies, snacks or extra tools to help students, teachers, and parents in the classroom.
