The school believes that children are our future and push them to do better. They also have an after school program that helps the children to get help with homework or projects to get done. Many teachers take time out of there day to help them with anything. Many of the teachers help kids with their subject but others too. The teachers can help them before and after school. They help the students during the tough moments in life. That is when we do not want our parents to know. They help us evenings during those times. I believe that the Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District is the best school here in Texas.

Nixon-Smiley has friendly teachers along with staff, it is in a good area. The high school consular is great! What needs to change at Nixon-Smiley is how students behave. It's a shame that students who are "popular" get off the hook with wrong doing while in reality they should be punished just like everybody else.
I have been at NSCISD since kindergarten. Because we are such a small school, Nixon-Smiley has given me the opportunity to make friendships that will last forever. Every faculty member wants to see one succeed. I have not had a single teacher that didn't go out of their way to make school and learning fun. There really isn't anything I would like to see change about Nixon-Smiley except the food, but surely that's everywhere else too. My overall experience here has been wonderful.
