Such a wonderful education, especially for a public school! I loved all of my teachers and was able to specialize in things I loved (such as music and Spanish language/culture) through non-core classes. Lots of great opportunities for Honors or AP classes if that is what you like, wonderful music department, and so many great clubs to be a part of. I'm so glad I went here :)
I have been a resident in Niskayuna for more than 20 years and my kids loves the schools. My daughter is now graduating from Cornell University and she said her friends in college is amazed that she learned all different kind of gymnastics and acrobaticsin Rosendale elementary school. The ratio of student and teacher is great which offer much opportunity for kid to join in different varsity team and activity.
The school has a really wide arrange of classes and lots of different extracurricular activities so you're sure to find something that fits your interest. Some of the guidance counselors are more helpful than others, the same as the teachers. But overall they are all competent at teaching so not many complaints there. The student body tends to be a bit cliquey and the ideology tends to be homogenous throughout it.
