The kids were more rowdy, and also there were a lot more bomb threats than I was used to. I was definitely the minority, and was not about the party life. The students that attended were more for the pleasures of this world rather than what it was really about! There were fights, and students often times picked on the teachers.

I am an Alum, so through all of the schools there is a good mix of things. Fist of all, the lower grades (1st-5th) do not have that much to pick from in the cafeteria but the school does the try their hardest to make it a well balanced meal for the students. In high school and middle school the food selection grows even more to the salad bars, sandwich, and sometimes grill, pizza, always including the dish of the day. The teachers were well rounded, you had the ones that harmonize with the students, and you had the ones that seemed over the top strict. It is what floats with the individual students. Personally I really liked it. The one point from High School that preferred me for college is that the counselor office didn't go and search for you to finish the requirements. But it was more on the students hands to get the things that they needed and if they wanted assistance with completing the college application forms.
Newmilford has many different types of students. Most of the teachers are great. They incourage learning what intrests you and will be important for the future, collaborating with classmates, and it's easy to make a connection with the teachers. The sports aren't great, but the band and musical is amazing. School spirit is really shown, and alot of people show up for the school events. It would be nice to have more options for student involvement.
