New Hope-Solebury School District Reviews
Academics are great, especially science, math, and STEM! Teachers and counselors are super helpful. Class size is small. Students are friendly. Lots of clubs to participate in.
I liked New Hope-Solebury because we will have a more personal graduation because of the amount of kids. We also always have a parking spot. But one of the biggest problem was being such a small school. Everyone knows everyone, the drama was bad and the rumors and secrets that went around. Each semester you might switch classes and ur in the class with the same kids. Also meant that they didn’t offer that many different clubs and sports and especially electives. Not being able to take any kind of class especially something close to my mayor was unfortunate. We also had to have repeating teaches with some classes. Overall I wished we had at least 200 kids per grade to create a bigger environment but we all become so close because we have known each other since elementary school.
New Hope-Solebury is like attending a private school. Its small size allows for quick curriculum changes when needed. At the high school, it's the kind of school where you can be BOTH the captain of the soccer team AND sing in select choir - a rarity at bigger schools. Even though the high school is small, there are still many choices for AP and Honors classes. The lower elementary school serves grades K-2 and is a special place for the youngest kids to learn and grow. The only challenge you'll have at NH-S is finding a house - it's a very tight real estate market. Otherwise, you can't go wrong moving to New Hope!
