Rating 4.36 out of 5 25 reviews
I have had a wonderful experience at New Hartford. My teachers since the start of my time here have been nothing but amazing. Even during the uncertainty of the pandemic, nearly all of my teachers allowed me to excel and make the most of my school experience. I also have formed life-long relationships with many of my teachers as a result of their full dedication and interest in me as a person. Knowing that my teachers are always there to help and provide me with opportunities to even further grow is comforting. One thing particularly about New Hartford which can be disheartening is some of the resources which are not taken care of to the extent that they should be. The gymnasium in the high school is subpar, which is upsetting in comparison to the other local schools with updated, better functioning facilities. Other instances where the buildings are falling apart include the bathrooms and locker rooms as well as some the classrooms. Overall, my experience at New Hartford has been +
This district has great education standards. As a seventh grader, I appreciate the availability for advanced courses that I am able to be in. There are many extracurricular activities and clubs, so everyone can join something. The teachers and staff care about students and are welcoming when you are entering a new school building. Sometimes, it fails to be the most organized school. Things got very chaotic when remote learning in the 2021 school year had to be planned. Despite our many obstacles, I feel we are doing well.
My experience at New Hartford Senior High was excellent because of the people in the school. The student body was great to one another, always supporting each other whether it was in sports, clubs, or school events. Most teachers can also fit the image of support and encouragement. The teachers are more than willing to go the extra mile in support of a student. I see most of the teachers as people who love their job and are very good at it.
