The New Caney Independent School District is one I had the honor of attending. It is a great place for students, weather they are more academically focused, or more club and sports orientated. There is something there for everyone!
During my time in New Caney ISD, I have had a wide variety of experiences. There are many great things about this district, such as the endorsements and career classes, and the numerous student organizations. I have been extremely involved in each of the schools that I have attended, and in New Caney ISD I have made some amazing friends and been part of a great atmosphere during my time spent in school related organizations like band or UIL. However, there are also a few negative aspects, just like any other school. For example, it is very easy to be exposed to bad influences in each class of students, and at times the instruction moves rather slow. However, I have definitely enjoyed my experience within this district so far!
I like that the high school is walking distance to a library. Explain to me why the students are unable to complete their assignments on the chrome books at the library which are issued by the school district. Why are car riders coming to the library to be transported home and there is no security at the library for the staff, patrons, student or parents? Who is to be held accountable for the safety of the students, parents or library staff?
