This school is very traditional and would do anything just to stay face. Many of the students there are racist and homophobic and many of the teachers don’t bat an eye. When it comes to the counselors don’t expect any help with anything emotional or academic because they’ll keep putting you off until it’s too late. There are some cool teachers but the majority are very biased in their teaching especially in the history/government/economics department. I really hope the school changes because I have nothing but negative feelings towards it.
Some people here make you feel welcome but I also have fond memories from NBHS from lifelong friends and teachers who were family to me. I would like for the school be involved more with the fine arts department and JROTC program financially instead of only focusing on the sports department. I would also like the school to be better at problem-solving and dealing with issues instead of letting issues swept under the rug.
I like the school community and the teachers are very helpful. But, like all schools, there is room for improvement. Some of the school buildings are in poor shape and need repairs.
