I’ve been in the MVUSD district for 10 years! In Elementary school, they made sure to reward the students who showed improvement, good grades, involvement, and even helping teachers. They always made sure that everyone was involved even all the way through high school. Although the district is doing well, there are things that do need change. From a students perspective, a lot of students struggle with mental health issues and I feel that the school or district has not done its part to let students know that there is a psychiatrist on campus for them. I think mental health is pushed to the side and is something that needs to be talked about more because if not helped can be very dangerous! Many students are scared of consequences or don’t even know who to talk to about the feelings they have, the district should most definitely make this more of a priority.

Honestly, I've had an amazing experience at Murrieta Valley High School. I feel like the main reason is because I apply myself to my schoolwork and sports. Murrieta Valley staff cares about their students. I've noticed that the people who complain about my highschool are the ones who are constantly causing a ruckus, messing with the wrong crowd, or not applying themselves. Nobody is going to hand you a great high school experience, you have to make it for yourself!
I loved my time at Vista Murrieta High School! It will be a time I will take with me for the rest of my life. All the teachers and staff have helped shape me into the person I am today. I will miss Vista when I graduate this June. The school spirit, academics, clubs, academics and staff makes Vista one of the best schools in Southern California. I recommend this high school to anyone considering going to or sending your child to.
