My experience with the Murfreesboro City School District has been both positive and negative. The negative aspects are due to the fact that I am an out of state student attending college without any scholarships to help pay for tuition. Although I know there are plenty of scholarships out there, I confided in my school to help me find scholarships eligible for me, so that I can continue to attend school in TN. Aside from directing me to websites that were almost no help because I already applied for those, my school continued to stress about payments and other financial problems I was having. But to go beyond my financial situation, the school district has campuses that are very diverse in more than just the students attending. There are a wide range of sports and other activities to choose from; along with the many clubs and organizations that they offer, meeting new people along the way makes great connections that will help you in the future.
I like the diversity of the students and staff. You get to meet all kinds of people and everyone is generally really accepting. The schools can be a bit crowded and it is hard to get one on one time from the teaching professionals.
