This is one of the most caring districts i’ve ever seen, seeing the work they have done to improve learning here in this town is remarkable, making a tech school for those who want to take steps forward into their goals, putting programs in middle schools to allow students to learn but also have fun, to creating and building a second highschool to give more space. This district does not stop, but keeps growing so that not just the parents, but the students, have a great learning experience and environment!
Moses Lake School District is average. The schools have a lot of diversity, and they make college a big priority. We have Gear Up, and Trio to help students with college related problems, like applying, scholarships, finding a good college, etc. But they need to work on some things. For instance, the school needs a lot of work on the actual building. There are leaks, and the ceiling panelings are falling apart. The High School also has a problem with vandalism. There are many cases of the bathrooms being trashed, sinks being broken, soap dispensers and more being removed, etc. They talk about problems on announcements but no acts besides removing bathroom doors have been really taken to prevent vandalism.
Moses Lake School District is a great place and every school is at least a little bit unique in their own way. I am currently attending the Moses Lake High School as a Freshman but in the past years the schools I attended have been great. Every teacher I have met or talked with have been very kind and understanding about grades and personality’s. Each school is very safe and take precautions to unsure their students safety and happiness in any kind of way. Every school has their own way of ensureing the education of each student either class field trip to a college or somewhere that also improves knowledge of students. Although, I believe some things can changed the locations of every school are near or in a neighborhood and are very accessible by via bus or walking but some locations are dangerous and not safe for students of young age.
