Montrose Community Schools Reviews

3 reviews
Some of the teachers are great and have helped me develop into the person that I am today, but the actual school isn't that great. During the winter, the parking lot is never salted, so it's complicated to walk from wherever you park to the front door without slipping at least a little bit. In the warmer months, everyone n the building (Besides the administration offices) is dripping sweat because there is no air conditioning. Also the food is bland, greasy, and overpriced.

Montrose Community Schools is very good at making sure kids are doing what they are supposed to, treating others with respect and kindness, and properly being prepared for the future.
This school is absurd. During last year’s parent-teacher conferences, multiple teachers complained to me and my children about their wages. Children should be educated and prepared for future jobs, not indoctrinated. Multiple teachers have extremely apparent political agendas (a certain history teacher and Spanish teacher are the worst offenders). The children are only given 30 minutes of break time a day, which for energetic and distracted teenagers is disasterous in the classroom. The food served is extremely sub-par. Milk is typically expired, condiments are extremely diluted to the point of having a consistency resembling water. The environment is drab and instituational, the teachers act as if they despise their jobs and the students absolutely hate to be there. Could be handled FAR better. For the sake of your children’s education, and mental health, please never send them to this horrid institution.
