Excellent character education curriculum and culture of equality and respect. Teachers shake hands with students as they enter the room, and laughter and joy is heard in classrooms. After school LEGO robotics and garden clubs are thriving. Excellent math and literature curriculum. New NGSS STEM standards are being taught and new STEM lab is growing with weekly STEM challenges. Outdoor team building trips for students. Excellent PTC involvement and support. Overall, great school for ALL students.
I like classes that are offered, for example there are many fun electives like auto repair, shop class, art, ceramics, agriculture and multimedia classes. Also they offer many AP and honor classes which is amazing for getting prepared for college. The teachers and administrators are super nice and are always there for us.
I went to school in this district from my elementary school days all the way up through my High School years. While I had a handful of teachers who where very impactful in my life the overall experience was mixed. The school did not offer many clubs to help greater learning, but very heavily focused on sports which is a positive in some aspects, but due to the focus suffers in other respects. The arts, and speech programs suffered heavily, and it showed. I wish we could of had better funding for essentials and better computer learning for things such as, computer engineering and programming.
