I moved out here and purchased a housse strictly for the schools. We have has several AMAZING teachers that have impacted my kids but UNFORTUNATELY since new administration in our school have lost several great teachers! Their is a kack of understanding for others feeling, lack of compassion for our kids, and and often feel like patents are not welcome any longer. Again this is gor our elementary school. As far as the 5th grade and middle school I have had amazing experience!
Review Montgomery Independent School District
I'm currently a sophomore in high school. This is my first year attending Montgomery high school. Although I had the anxiety of the "new girl", Montgomery welcomed me with open hands. Yes I said hands because ,sense I've been here any time help is needed some would help me walk the way. Over time playing a part as a student I've learned our school is more like a second Family inside a heart warming home.
I could never stay stable in one school, I switched schools almost every semester since I've been in pre-K. Even though I cant quite put my finger on it Montgomery is the High School I am graduating from. Whether its ;the friendly administrators , or the adamant teachers who is more than welcomed to aid you at any moment needed, or the school spirit of helping and comforting others who attend and work at the school. Im overwhelmed to continue my stay here.
Students are everyday facing issues that require a trusting adult to talk.Sadly counselors are preoccupied with their spreadsheets to even speak to students about their personal issues.I would like to see their psychology degrees put to good use in the future so that they can actually counsel.I can tell that some of these teachers don't want to be here.I had a Spanish teacher admit that he didn't want to teach Spanish but rather history. I honestly didn't need the confession because any Spanish speaker could tell otherwise. There are many teachers who could care less if a student is learning as long as they pass the class. I have been fortunate enough to have teachers that create positive classroom environments where different points of views and opinions were welcomed.MISD has its work cut out for them. The only question is will they actually take action?
