Montgomery County R-II School District Reviews
The Montgomery County R-II School District has many positive qualities, many of which are crucial to any learning environment. The teachers are almost always willing to help you in any way that they can. The Chromebooks that are provided to students have become the core of many classes. The majority of students come from the same background in most respects.
My experience at the Montgomery County R-II School District is overall positive. They provide many resources for people from different backgrounds and those who learn in unique ways. However, the diversity of the school district is lacking because of the predominantly white agriculture-based community. Although diversity has no correlation with academics, I consider it an important factor in my high school experience.
Something that I liked about my school district is the "small town" feel. My district is very small so in return staff and administration knew students on a first name basis, as well as their families. I feel each student got a lot more one on one time with their teachers due to the small size of the school and the district. Something that I would like to see change is for the school to offer more classes that have to do with career paths. Some classes like medical terminology, culinary, law based classes I think would benefit the students wanting to go into these fields once they have graduated high school.
