Monte Alto Independent School District Reviews

As a former student of the Monte Alto School District (class of 2016), I certainly do feel like attending this school district was the right choice for me. I was able to graduate with my associates degree in biology even before I graduated with my high school diploma. That being said, during my time at the school district, I did see some things that both frustrated and annoyed me. I was a member of U.I.L academics and was the first and only student to go to the state level, and through first hand experience I saw what little attention U.I.L academics received. On the other hand, U.I.L athletics received alot more praise and rewards than I felt they deserved since they were not very successful. One more thing I wish would change would be the work load teachers were expected to do. I believe this school district can continue and even improve on the amount of students going to college but changes must be made first.

I'm will become a senior next year and I love that they have new food options every so often and they have lots of programs for students to get involved and find themselves being smarter than they thought they were. UIL is one of our most favored clubs and it is very successful in achieving and warding students with knowledge scholarships and trophies. If I could change anything it would be to add a band hall.
My experience in this has been very interesting, and successful. I do notice that success is based on the students itself, and the school only has so little to do with it .
