The High School I went to was fabulous. It has a recently constructed high school (it was finished during my sophomore year) and every student gets an iPad loaned to them like a textbook for the year. The programs are very advanced technologically, from the fleet of iMac computers in the Graphic Design room, to the full studio for video production and school news. The gymnasium, auditorium and many other perks take a backseat to the quality of teachers and staff. They are all very professional, very kind and compassionate to all sorts of the toughest students to work with. Over all, I had a wonderful experience there, and the same kind of professionalism and focus on education is present in the community.

For starters, the teachers are amazing. Of course, no matter where you go, you will get a few teachers who you never want to see again but for the most part, Monroe Township has as little of those as possible. Every school from pre-school all the way up to high school has a clear cut mission to give students the best education and overall school experience that they can. As a college freshman I truly have nothing bad to say about the Monroe Township school district. Not only is it a great school for academics but it's a very connected and diverse community. There are also so many extracurricular activities for students to get involved with!
This school helps prepare students for various future paths particularly through the integration of advanced technology. Through the distribution of iPads and the use of apps, students become comfortable implementing technology into their daily work, something I came to appreciate in college, which required me to constantly check my teacher's websites and electronically hand in assignments. In addition, this school provides senior students the opportunity to supplement a course for real-world experience in an internship, job shadow, or mentorship position for credit. Students that take advantage of this opportunity graduate with a sense of confidence in what they want, or more importantly don't want, to do after receiving their diploma. Although this school needs to expand to accommodate a growing student population, it overall adequately prepares students for future success.
