Minnetonka schools offer more than a child would ever need to reach not only their full potential, but their dreams. Everything and anything you may be interested in can be made a possibility to be involved in at Minnetonka High School. From Women's/Men's Rugby, to Optimist Club, every sport and club is offered. The clubs vary by different interests such as languages, volunteering, arts, science, government, and more. Another notable feature about Minnetonka High School is the academics and the resources. Students are able to choose the level to accommodate to their particular level of skill and desired challenge in any specific discipline. No matter the choice, each student is given equal opportunity to excel and learn the course material in a very effective manner. The teachers are respectful, educated, and very professional. These are some of the many reasons Minnetonka is rated #1 in state, and I have been so lucky to experience all of it.
Review Minnetonka Public School District
Minnetonka is definitely the school to go to if you're planning on attending college. They have been over preparing us since day one. Because of this, the work load is heavier, school becomes more stressful, and its harder to get A's. In my opinion it's still worth it because of our facility/staff, clubs, and sports. Very rarely to you get a bad teacher. 90% of the teachers here are excited to educate and know what they're doing. We also are offered an almost endless amount of courses. There's so much to choose from. The only other downfalls to Minnetonka is the mediocre food and the complete lack of diversity. Looking down the halls is a sea of white (but we do have diversity of religion and political beliefs). If education is the most important piece to your high school experience this is definitely the place for you.
Overall, a great school district. The majority of teachers enjoy what they do and care about their students and the education they're receiving. Academics are challenging but great for college preparation, and there are a wide variety of clubs and organizations to get involved in. For the most part, administration is good about responding to issues raised by students or faculty and is generally quite involved in the school. The only major issue is lack of diversity.
