Midlothian Independent School District Reviews
I have been within this district since kindergarten and have thoroughly enjoyed it here. Most of my teachers that I have had really made sure that I grasped onto the topic and understood it. The only thing I did not enjoy was when they would just give us busy work, or even some teachers not prepare us at all. Most teachers didn't do that, just a few. Other than that, I felt prepared because of how awesome these teachers here are!
I went to Midlothian high school and am a 2020 senior. My experience there was great. I made many memories and learned many things while I was there. I can say some things could change. There are clubs of lgtbq, black student union which is great. I think this clubs could be promoted more and there could be a more diversity club, accepting everyone. I also would like to be an improvement about drugs and how they are handled. This days, kids think that drugs and drinking are the cool, more than ever. Even though, it might be a problem it didn’t take away that the school is great with supportive teachers. Positivity roamed the halls, but there could be much more. Everything evolves and learns, and I did here.
This school district has very good programs for helping everyone in the school achieve to their highest level. We have AP, Dual Credit, Regular, and even classes for those struggling to understand concepts in math and science. The district offers several willing tutors, the teachers work excellently with the students, and overall the academic environment is remarkable. The only thing I would change is the strict restrictions on the food in the cafeteria, not only providing little diversity and healthy options for the students, but preventing student organizations from selling products not approved by the district's food system. Other than that, the district is incredible and will provide any student with a very valuable education!
