Liked the different sports, clubs and organizations. Teachers really care and want you to succeed. The academics were challenging. The extracurricular activities were well rounded. There was something for everyone. Small town so lots of community involvement.
Midlothian High School has been very inconsistent throughout the years, with the various staff changes, it has led things to be very difficult. Although, I will admit it has improved since my freshman year, 2019. There was a lot of racism at the beginning, but as Midlothian has become more diverse, I've seen less and less of it.
In the past I have enjoyed Misd very much. I have felt that all of the principals and counselors cared about the student. My school got new principals this year and it has been a lot worse because of changes they have been making. The people who are higher up have been making changes within the schools as well. All of these changes have caused more depression and a lack of opportunities to be social. I had someone come and spend the night at my house because of the mental tolls the new changes have had on them. A lot of the students do not feel like they are being heard. Again this is the first year school has been this bad but it is hurting a lot students at Midlothian Heritage Highschool.
