Methacton School District Reviews
I had a good experience at Methacton High School, I had fun on the cheer team and they offer a great technical school. However the classes themselves were not the greatest, I learned a lot but not necessarily useful information. And in my opinion some teachers are not doing what they need to. They have an amazing sports program and a ton of school involvement. The Music program (Theater, band, etc.) are amazing and compete state wide. The school offers basically every type of club you could imagine. However, when it comes to food, the school is seriously lacking. The students joke and say "this is worse than prison food". My biggest problem with the cafeteria was the prices, which were way too high. Overall I think this school is average, could be better, could be worse.
I went to Methacton for 5 years and I liked it better than when I was in private school. I made a great group of friends that I still hang with and it has been 7 years. The school district is amazing, academics and sports are up there which is great for many students and parents. I loved the district and hope to teach there myself one day!
Freshman year was a fun year with new experiences, hardships, sports and classes. Sophomore year was tough but I got through the year with the best grades I could get. Junior year was difficult in regards to mathematics where I struggled, but I got through it in the end with an average grade. I also found out in high school that I got into a summer program I wanted for years and the Bio Technology class that is held at the North Montco Techinical Career Center. Id like the school to change in their approach about how to handle the pond/courtyard and see more discipline in regards to the bathrooms being mistreated
