Merino RE-4J School District Reviews

3 reviews
Merino Junior/Senior Highschool has given me a great high school experience. Along with the multiple sports and fantastic elective classes including art and psychology, Merino also has the only student run wellness committee, of which I am a proud member. Merino offers many organizations including FFA, FCCLA, DECA, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Wellness Committee. Merino also offers seven sports and allows transfer to nearby Sterling or Brush for two additional sports. The fantastic staff at Merino has left a lasting imprint on my education. Many have the great skill when it comes to teaching. They understand that not every student learns the same way and try and teach to material towards many different learning styles. Overall, Merino is a very student-oriented school with a great education system focusing on the student choosing how they learn best.

I really liked the small student to teacher ratio. I was able to get the help that I needed and felt like I could ask questions if I was confused. I would like to see more oppurtunities happen in the school. I would have loved to play softball through Merino, but they don't have a team.
From my experience there was a lot of bullying that was unaddressed, and while there are a few good teachers there most of them are only there for themself.
