I've just gotten into 9th grade, but had got into a program where I would do my studies at a Mercer County Technical School. Specifically, the Health/Science s and helping Academy. It has been very good so far, the course is teaching me thing me learn a lot! I've been improving with the many opportunities we have at the school like: Hosa, Internships, and many more! The kids are all great and the teachers help you out no matter the situation! They really believe in "all kids will graduate". I really don't have much to complain about and love the school and experience so far.
I enjoyed all the strong connects and bonds the teachers share with the students. The administration and board of education members truly do care about each student and I appreciated that throughout my school years. I feel like I fell behind academically after covid, but that could not have been prevented. Mercer county attempted to help students as much as possible during and after the pandemic. I do not feel as if I am as prepared for college as some of the other counties are. I took mostly all honors and ap courses throughout high school and that helped me, but career wise, it did not. Mostly all students I talk to are not prepared for college due to the lack of career options Mercer county offers. Business classes are the classes that I believe helped me most, due to the real life situations you learn about, but not all students enroll in business classes. Overall, Mercer county is a great learning and safe environment for students
I love Mercer County! I feel like it’s a great place to be because they want to make sure every student in included in every activity there is. They want every student to make the right decision and they help students choose the right path of choosing a career. Mercer County takes care of every individual.
